Same image, just some subtle differences:

1:  No filters.

In the last group of images that I posted, the opinion seemed to be that the 2nd one was best, so I kept it and added a couple of things to it to finish it up.

This is what I came up with.




I was also working on a League promo poster.  So, here's the art and the image with the text added.  These are full screen length, too.

Ok, so I'm working on a Justice League focused image with Batman thrown in for good measure.  I started with something basic, and then I kept adding something extra with each version.  The thing is each image could stand alone with some added text or none at all.  I can never decide which one to go with,...like,..EVER.

3:  I added a faint hint of the Metropolis skyline.



4:  Finally, I worked the DP into the foreground.



Which of these choices is the keeper...?

I also have a full length promo for the show along this same theme that I'm working on.

Is this a concept worth following all the way out and working with?  Batman as a part of SV's League?

I'm not sure what inspired me to throw these together, but I did.

These first two are very simple manips based on images from 8.01.  I actually had someone like Elly in mind when making these--the fanfic thing.  Looking at these caps from 8.01, I imagined Clark flying along in the Queen Industries jet on his way to Black Creek to rescue Chloe.  The cap of Clark makes him appear to be in a trance or caught in thought about Chloe and seeing her again.  It's kinda like being in Clark's head seeing his thoughts about Chloe and how relieved he would be to see her and know she was ok.  I couldn't decide which one I preferred, so I'm just going to dump them both here at LJ for storage.  Actually, some really cool text to describe what Clark might be thinking would be a nice touch, if anyone wants to take one of these and add something to it.

Now.  I personally am very dissatisfied with Chloe's storyline, but there was something about Chloiac in Bloodline that was totally freaky, and I couldn't stay away from it.  It's not my best stuff, but it stood out to me for whatever reason.  So, here's a single image--one with Chloiac text, one without.  As an extra added effect, I might come back and add a little Kryptonian text in the background to add to the freakiness of it.

I had already done a Clex manip based on Descent from season 7 a while back.  It was ok, but I was never quite happy with it.  I always thought it was a powerful episode, and the scenes with Clex at Lionel's grave site were pretty powerful with the accompanying music.  Good stuff.

For the first image, I just re-worked it a little, but I kept the same basic composition.  I like it a bit better.  I didn't use any brushes this time, just some basic filters.  The second one I did is a bit cluttered, I admit.  I still think the overall impression is good though.  So, I kept it as well. 

I was just trying to capture the feel of the Clex moments from those scenes.

I'm going to go ahead and post this one.  Usually you toss in some images and start a composition as you shuffle things around a little here and there hoping to see how it should line up.  So, the lines aren't quite as smooth as usual, but in the end, this one turned out well enough that I just decided to leave it as is.  I was afraid that if I scrapped it and started over trying to get things smoother, it actually might not turn out as well in the end.  So...

The next one is a little bit of a rehash of an earlier Odyssey image I had done, but it has a subtle difference or two on it.  I was going for a little bit more of Oliver's reaction to it all.

 Finally, another variation on a couple earlier Bloodline images I did.  Couldn't leave this one alone, for whatever reason.  And yeah, I went over the top working on a billion different variations of this one.

Bloodline:

I'd long thought about doing something with Devoted, but just never really got around to it.  I took one image and just applied some subtle masking and filters.  It's always amazing what subtle touches can do with a single screencap.  I like it.

Also, there's a third one combining a couple of images from the same scenes.

I didn't see Bloodline, and I believe it was Cnois-centric.  I did see bits and pieces of Identity.  So, I ran down some promos and caps to make these....I threw them together in somewhat of a hurry.  I piddled around with them over the last week.  I don't figure Chlarkers would care for the Bloodline images, but the trip to the Zone produced the more compelling images along with Faora and Bloome.  Anyway...

All right, because I'm basically a sick individual, I couldn't stay away from the idea of doing up something based on a EDLois death scene.  Given that this is a serious death anvil from 8.05, I had to cook something up.  My problem and a big disappointment in these images is that I simply couldn't figure a reasonable angle on how to work the hearse into the images.

If anyone can figure an angle on how to work the hearse into a manip, please do so (looks at electricmonk333).    I'd be really interested in what someone else was able to envision with that image worked in.

I've got several versions here, and I couldn't decide which one to keep.

Not a whole lot from this episode to cheer about (apart from the Nois death anvil), but I did find the images of Tess & Oliver a bit intriguing.  Let's face it, Tess is hot, ya know?

 1st:   I found this scene interesting, and I could definitely see Oliver returning the favor to Tess by buying the Planet right out from under her.

Many of you probably already saw this, but if you haven't here it is.

It's been a while since I've sat down to consider doing a little photo art.  I popped out a couple of images after Odyssey, but nothing has really inspired me or motivated me to focus on the show lately.   These promo images from Prey seemed to work well in some simple manips, so here they are.

Here's some Chlark from Odyssey that I threw together in about 30 minutes time:

As anyone who might read this LJ can tell, I've deleted all of my previous spec.  I've only deleted it because it was getting cluttered to the point where I couldn't remember which entries had which spec in it.   I ended up copying it all to my computer to catalog it to refer back to at a later point.  If anything new comes to me, I'll throw it out there for you to agree or disagree with.

One of our lovely Chloisers is saying that they are being defriended by me, and I'm not sure why that's happening.  It seems to be happening at a point where I make some kinda change at my LJ.  It's happened twice now.  I know that there are a couple of you who read along, but if you get kicked out or defriended at some point, please let me know.  It's not intentional, I assure you.  I'll Friend you immediately back if you'll let me know.  I had the first problem just recently when I tried to upload a pic or two, and then I was notified that this lovely was defriended--I friended her back.  I made another change at my LJ, and she has been defriended again.

Is this happening to anyone else?

Ok, so unlike a lot of Chloisers, I hated Cure with one exception--I thought Knox was a seriously cool character, and I've never been a DC fan, per se.  But, for me, D. Cain's Knox rescued this episode for me.  I'm going to throw up some slightly different versions of the same image of Knox.  The only difference is there are some subtle differences in textures and brushes.  One version has no text or brushes.  I can never decide which one to keep, so I'm dumping them here to store them.

There's more Knox to come later--I'm working on a larger image closer to a wallie.

Also, here's a quickie Fever image highlighting the ending of the episode when Lana is chatting with Clark as she glances at Chloe.  Lana knows that she's beating Chloe to the punch here, and aren't we all still pissed about that one?  I know I still am.

 

I think this version may be a bit better than the previous one.

 A few images from Siren.  I antiqued them a little just to give them a different look.

Image 1:  A worried Clark just noticing the scratches on Chloe's face as she tries to explain how it happened.



Image 2:  Same as the first image, but it has some subtle scratchy brush strokes on it.



Image 3:  The moment that Clark first makes mention of Chloe's injuries and she has to come clean.  This last image is on a smaller canvas.


 

 I had been meaning to get to a few images from Quest, so here are a few variations on a similar theme.  It's the moment that Lex inserts the Kryptonian key into the orb after discovering it inside the fireplace at the mansion.
